Kigambira Safari Lodge gets its name from Lake Kigambira, one of the five lakes found within Lake Mburo National Park. The lake is in clear view and within walking distance of the facility. The uniqueness of the facility is its architectural design that blends the African and modern building styles. The roofs are grass thatched, typical of traditional African building styles.
A true five-star lodge, 12 independent cottages or bandas with a capacity to accommodate 20 guests. But the real passion here is in the food. Chefs turns the fruits of his land into exciting breakfasts and memorable three-course feasts, all ready to be walked off on a morning game drive within the Park.
But the beauty of staying with Kigambira is not just that they’re arguably among the Park’s most opulent lodge. It’s that the location offers visitors a sweeping view over the five lakes. The bandas are all grass-thatched, with mahogany timber floors that are complemented by the canvas/tented walls, a nice workstation a relaxing sofa, and an air fan just above your bed. The bathroom is pitched with black stone blended with very fine walls and floor tiles to savor a very refreshing hot or cold bath. The bathroom also comes with a bathrobe, rustic mirrors, and organic bath amenities. The rooms are also fully fitted with a number of power sockets and plugs of up to 220/240 UK volts to enable you to recharge your phones, cameras, and laptops while each room is also furnished with a number of international plug adaptors.
The restaurant affords you very comfortable sofas, a library, and gallery, and a well-stocked bar, while the upper wooden deck gets you to enjoy a fine dining experience with great views of Lake Kigambira and the vast marshland. The restaurant specializes in a fine dining experience for its guests starting out with a continental English buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are ala carte served in courses of your preference. We also accept orders for special diets and bush meals are always a surprise at some unique spots in the wild.
