Itinerary of 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari
Day 1: KIGALI CITY TOUR –VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK (Travel time +2.5hrs): 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, time permitting during the day make you way to the Kigali (Gisozi) Genocide Memorial. The Kigali Memorial exists is a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide in 1994. It deals with a topic of international importance, with far-reaching significance, and is designed to engage and challenge an international visitor base. Here you will be able to visit the three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide.
You will later be transferred to Musanze & Volcanoes National Park. Arrive and check-in at the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge. You will have lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meal plan (FB: – Lunch, Dinner, Bed, and Breakfast)

Day 2: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK (Gorilla trek & Village Cultural tour)
Early breakfast at the lodge then proceeds to the park headquarters in time for your Gorilla Trek briefing at 07h00. Your guided walk begins at 08h00. A gorilla family is led by a silverback. These troops also include several younger males, adult and juvenile females, and infants. After this memorable experience, you will proceed to the lodge for lunch and also to clean your trekking boots.
This afternoon at 15h30 – You will have an optional visit to the Iby’ Iwacu village for a cultural experience to share various aspects of rural cultures and livelihoods into tourist attractions and create income-generating activities for rural poor people that have reformed from living on bushmeat and poaching for generations. Day 3: VOLCANOES (Golden Monkey trek) – KIGALI (Travel time 2.5hrs)
Rise early in the morning and breakfast at the lodge. Check out and proceed to the Park’s headquarters for a briefing about your trek. You will then be transferred by vehicle to the start point of the guided walk that begins at 08h00 in search of the Golden Monkeys. Trekking to see the golden monkeys is another highlight of Volcanoes National Park. There are two habituated groups of Golden Monkey, one group comprises around 80 – 100 members and has its home at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo. As with treks to see the Mountain Gorillas, treks to see the Golden Monkeys take place in the mornings, and visitors are permitted to stay for 1 hour with the monkeys. The number of visitors is not limited.
After the experience, transfer to the lodge for an early lunch and to refresh. You will then be transferred to Kigali proceed to Kigali International Airport, check in for your outbound flight. End of service Meal plan (HB: – Lunch, Bed and Breakfast).
