Day 1:  ARRIVAL – KIGALI / Start off 8 Days Rwanda Safari: Start of your 8 Days Rwanda Safari – Across Rwanda Package

Arrival of your flight at Kigali International Airport. You will be warmly welcomed by Jothado Safari guide representative, you will then be transferred to your hotel in Kigali. Check in assistance, followed by dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan Dinner & Breakfast

Day 2: KIGALI CITY TOUR –AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK (Travel time +2.5hrs)

After the breakfast, embark on a city tour include the Kigali (Gisozi) Genocide Memorial. The Kigali Memorial exists is a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide in 1994. It deals with a topic of international importance, with far-reaching significance, and is designed to engage and challenge an international visitor base.  Here you will be able to visit the three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide.

Day 2: AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK

Today after your breakfast, you will go for a boat excursion on Lake Ihema, (For guests staying at Magashi Camp, the boat experience will be on Lake Rwanyakizinga) which will take you to the island that is inhabitant to several species of birds. Lining the lakes are some of the continent’s densest concentrations of water birds, while the connecting marshes are the haunt of the endangered and exquisite papyrus gonolek, and the bizarre shoebill stork – the latter perhaps the most eagerly sought of all African birds. After your boat excursion. After this, continue with game drive in the park. Picnic lunches. Return to the camp in the evening.

The game drive in Akagera National Park provides you with the opportunity to view gentle hills blending beautifully with lowland swamps and water bodies. You will visit the Giraffe area in the south and the lakes road up towards Birengero. Akagera National park is a home for animals like elephant buffalo, Giraffe, zebra and more than a dozen types of antelope inhabit the park, most commonly the handsome chestnut-coated impala, but also the diminutive oribi and secretive bushbuck, as well as the ungainly tsessebe and the world’s largest antelope, the statuesque Cape eland.Meal plan (FB: – Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast)

Day 3: AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK – VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK (Travel time +5hrs)

Begin the day early in the morning to hit the road for Volcanoes National Park with lunch enroute in Kigali. Continue to Musanze for arrival and check in at your lodge in the evening. Meal plan (FB: – Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast)

Day 4: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK  (Gorilla trek & Village Cultural tour)

Early breakfast at the lodge then proceed to the park headquarters in time for your Gorilla Trek briefing at 07h00.  Your guided walk begins at 08h00.  A gorilla family is led by a silverback. These troops also include several younger males, adult and juvenile females, and infants. After this memorable experience, you will proceed to the lodge for lunch and also to clean your trekking boots.

This afternoon at 15h30 – You will have an optional visit the Iby’ Iwacu village for a cultural experience to share various aspects of rural cultures and livelihoods into tourist attractions and creating income-generating activities for rural poor people that have reformed from living on bush meat and poaching for generations. Day 5: VOLCANOES (Golden Monkey trek) : 8 Days Rwanda Safari – Across Rwanda

Rise early in the morning and breakfast at the lodge. Check out and proceed to the Park’s headquarters for briefing about your trek. You will then be transferred by vehicle to the start point of the guided walk that begins at 08h00 in search of the Golden Monkeys. Trekking to see the golden monkeys is another highlight of Volcanoes National Park. There are two habituated groups of Golden Monkey, one group comprises around 80 – 100 members and has its home at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo. As with treks to see the Mountain Gorillas, treks to see the Golden Monkeys take place in the mornings and visitors are permitted to stay for 1 hour with the monkeys. The number of visitors is not limited.

Day 6: VOLCANOES – NYUNGWE FOREST (Travel time 5hrs)

Today is for a drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park arriving in afternoon, lunch at the lodge and the afternoon is spent on a tea plantation visit in Gisakura. Discover what makes a perfect cup of tea. Meal plan (FB: – Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast)

Day 7: CHIMPANZEE TREK & CANOPY WALK

Today at 05h00 you will get your packed breakfast and  drive to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trek briefing and formalities and then to the evergreen forest for a great experience that starts at 06h00. You may spot a wide variety of bird life. Their playfulness and human – like characteristics make the long day worthwhile. Luckily you may be welcomed by chimp morning calls deep in the forest upon encountering the chimps, you will be allowed to stay in their presence for one hour as you enjoy their acrobats, feeding life and their day today behaviors. Return to the hotel at around 11h00. Lunch will follow.

14h45: Transfer to the park headquarters for canopy walk briefing that takes place at 15h00. Your guided canopy walk will start at 15h00.

Experience the rainforest from a dazzling new perspective – on the famous Canopy Walkway. The only walk of its kind in East Africa, this breathtaking construction hangs 60 metres above the forest floor between giant trees and towers, revealing a stunning view of the flora and fauna, both below and above. Day 8: NYUNGWE FOREST – KIGALI (Travel time 5hrs)/ End of 8 Days Rwanda Safari

Early breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and settle extras. Proceed to KIGALI passing through Huye and lunch stopover, En route, we will briefly visit the Ethnographic Museum. (This stop is after a 03 hour drive from Kigali (Huye) Later continue to Kigali International Airport in time to catch your out bound flight.
